Taking Chances
Hi everyone! 🙂
Today I thought I’d write a bit about our new home… We made the super tough decision a few months ago to pack everyone up and move interstate to a small beachside town and have a bit of a fresh start… I have lived my whole life in Brisbane city and never had even the slightest inclination to live anywhere else… so when we found somewhere that felt like home in our hearts, but was a huge 6 hour drive away from everything and everyone that we know and love it came as quite a surprise! We were at a point in our lives where we felt like we needed a CHANGE, and to move felt like the perfect answer.
While it’s been an up and down time, especially during that first month or so (I didn’t realise how homesick I would feel at first), now I am so glad we made the decision to move. Even though it may not be forever, and we will probably head back to Brisbane at some point down the track… to have taken a chance on life and taken the opportunity to live by the beach while our kids are small feels wonderful and so liberating! It makes me happy to see my kids so happy in their environment – both of them have come out of their shells so much since we have been here, and that has been the biggest reward for the whole thing… And I feel so much stronger for it as well – I love proving myself wrong sometimes LOL!
Plus, it’s a two minute drive to this – who could complain about that??
