Rebecca highlights her 10 favorites from the Sticky Learnings line of products.

Do you know of a product line at Sweet Shoppe Designs called Sticky Learnings? “Sticky Learning are unique, ready-to-print learning aids and games to assist you and your child with learning at home.” Heather Roselli and I have been working on these printables for a few years now, and if you have a little one at home or need a quick gift for a friend with little ones, these are awesome! Today I’m going to take a bit of inspiration from the Designer showcase and tell you 10 of my favorite sets! 😉

1. Sticky Learnings: You Have Mail

I was inspired by the mailboxes that are out during Valentines Day. My son was putting so many things in and out of the box that I thought of creating a mail station for him where he could “write” letters, put it into an envelope, address it to his buddy, put a stamp on it and put it in the mail. Then he could come around and pick up the mail and take it the “post office.” At the office, he could sort out the letters and then “deliver” them around the house. J fell in LOVE with this printable. I’m still finding letters around the house, haha.

2. Sticky Learnings: Wild About Learning

This summer I wanted to encourage my son to keep reading . . . and boy, has it worked!! He filled up the progress chart in a week, and I had to print multiples! He also loved the bingo game where he selects a topic from the card and then finds a book that relates to it. Then when he gets “BOOKS” (aka bingo), he gets a treat of going to the store and getting a new book.

3. Sticky Learnings: Color Bugs

Last year, my son was in a Pre-school Spanish Class and they were going through the colors. I took the concept of the Sticky Learnings: Counting Bugs, and changed it into the colors. I’m excited to say that he had mastered his colors in Spanish. And this summer, when he went to Spanish Camp, he still remembered his colors after a year of not practicing them!

4. Sticky Learnings: Dress It! Jack-o-Lanterns

When it’s the holidays, I become obsessed with making everything we do holiday themed . . . haha . . . and that includes our games! We have so much fun with the Dress it! line . . . there are versions for Halloween, Christmas, winter, and Easter. Everyone gets a shape and then you roll the “die” and start decorating it. Whoever gets all the categories on their shape, wins!

5. Sticky Learnings: Fishing 4 Letters

I seriously LOVE these cards! I love that there are multiple ways to play with them, depending on the skills of your child. You can just dump them all in a pile and search for matches, flip them over and play traditional memory game, or my favorite—using them as you would playing Go Fish! These cards have an added benefit  for those that are Project Life peeps . . . these cards would fit in that 3×4 slot, I’m thinking. 🙂  Oh, they also come in  Numbersand I have plans for Color and Occupation sets coming soon!

6. Sticky Learnings: Travel Games

This set was developed out of necessity! I needed something that was light weight and easy to haul for our vacation last summer . . . and once laminated, the kid was able to use this over and over again! It has become a mainstay in our car, even for errand running! We also have a winter version, in case you need something to occupy a child’s time as you go through the woods to Grandma’s house. 😉

7. Sticky Learnings: What Time Is It?

This was created out of the need to give me some relief in answering the “what time is it?” question that was on my son’s lips every 2 minutes! It was the perfect time to teach him how to read the clock . . .  haha. My son still loves the clock. The yellow clock has slits cut between the numbers and the blue face is attached behind the clock so he can self-correct himself.

8.  Sticky Learning: All About Me Album

This is another set that I just love, and it is perfect for those times when you need the kids to have something to do when it’s suppose to be quiet . . . aka Church! I have all the sets from the All About Me Collection—All About Me, All About School, and All About my Favorites—in a cheap 4×6 photo album from Target, and I keep it in my purse.

9.  Sticky Learnings: Word Cafe

This set was a play off of one of the very first learning tools I made for J. It was a based on a popular kids’ fast food set, and the fries were counting sticks. J is older now and he still loves that set, but I wanted to challenge him a bit more and decided to update the fries to practice some grammar. In fact, we used this very set today . . . noun, verb, and adjective are part of his studies for Classical Conversations, this week . . . perfect!

10. Sticky Learnings: Catch a Match Letters

I have had this on my to-do list for a very long time and I feared that once I completed it, it was going to be too little for my 6 year old, since he knows his letters. However, it has turned out to be one of my son’s favorites. He loves to “fish” and then, using what he catches, see if he can spell out a word. In fact, right now those fish are in the bathtub . . . apparently the fishbowl (that is used for storage) wasn’t giving them enough exercise, according to the kid.

There are even more Sticky Learnings in the store . . . just search Sticky Learnings in the Search Field, or check out Heather Roselli’s designs. And if you see something you like . . . here’s a coupon to use:   Sticky30%off until October 31, 2013.
