30 Days of Gratitude: Day 1

Introducing 30 Days of Gratitude—Sweet Shoppe Edition

I’m sure most of you are familiar with the annual 30 Days of Gratitude project that normally takes place in November. Here at the Sweet Shoppe, we thought we’d do our own version and take turns posting on the blog each day, telling about all the things we’re grateful for.

If you have wanted to do a scrapbooking project about 30 Days of Gratitude, there are many different methods you can use. I went looking through the Sweet Shoppe Gallery and Store and found some great inspiration for anyone wanting to tackle this project.

Of course, the most simple way to record the things you are grateful for is to put them all together in one layout. This layout by Britanee is a perfect example:

And, here’s another example of a great layout by Mary, which lists out all the things she’s grateful for on journaling strips:

This two-page layout by farrijc is a great example of getting it all in one layout but including photos at the same time:

Of course, if you want to spend a little more time and do an entire album, that’s an option too. And, we have some beautiful examples of Gratitude Albums in our Gallery. Here are just a few that caught my eye:

First up is this digital album by Jacinda. She used Darcy and Meghan’s Count Your Blessings Album templates, and created a beautiful project:

Next up are a few beautiful hybrid albums, from kristijoy, Lindsay, and Aly, respectively:

Last year, our own Traci Reed created a class called Hardcore Gratitude. Many people in our community participated, and the gallery is full of the beautiful projects that were the result. The class along with templates, journaling overlays, and word art is still available in the Shoppe, and you can look here to see oodles of layouts that were created during the course of the class last year.

As you can see, there are so many options when it comes to documenting the things you are grateful for. I hope you will all come along with us this month as we talk about some of the things we appreciate in our lives. And, feel free to let us know the things you are grateful for as well. We’d love to hear from you in the comments!

I guess I can’t end this post without telling you about something that I’m grateful for. I have a pretty good life, and it’s easy to count my blessings, so it’s a little bit hard to choose just one thing to share. But, I think I have to go with the people who brought me into this world . . . my parents. This month, they will celebrate their 46th wedding anniversary. Their life together has not always been easy. In fact, there were times when it was downright excruciating. But they were 100% dedicated to their family of seven children, and they are an amazing example to me of commitment and love. I keep waiting for the day when I’m going to grow up and be mature enough to feel like I don’t need them anymore. But, I’m starting to realize that that day just isn’t going to come. 🙂 My mom and dad are my heroes, crazy as they are, and I’m constantly striving to be more like them.

How about you? What are you grateful for today?

~Lydia
