Spotlight Sunday- Britanee Walker (Community Member Edition)
This week we’re spotlighting community member, Britanee Walker! Britanee shares her favorite layouts, products, Disney memories, nail polishes, and what she’s watching!
I have a hard time in front of the camera. I don’t know how many people know that but i’m actually VERY insecure about myself. SSD’s Project Love Me has helped get in front of the camera more. I always upload them to IG and use the SSD hashtag (#ssdprojectloveme). I love that I have pictures of me to scrap, in hopes that my children will learn more about me. These are a few of my favorite ones.
I honestly tried to stay away from CT layouts but I realized one snuck in LOL! Usually my newest layouts are my favorite. For my personal layouts, I usually stick with one kit but use outside stitches, paints & alphas. I love these recent layouts because of the stories they tell and how I was able to scrap them.
Trying to pick only 4 favorite products isn’t possible LOL! My wishlist is about 5 miles long. Every designer at SSD stands out in their own way. I love all my CT products so I chose other products that I can’t seem to scrap without.
-Julie’s Lifetime templates are my go-to Project Life templates. I’m currently using them to scrap our Disneyland vacation.
-Kristin’s kits always call out to me. I LOVE flowers and foliage & she always packs them in her kits. The colors are beautiful & her papers…sigh…I love them all. I always feel like I NEED her kits. This one, Bloom & Grow, is my most recent favorite of hers.
-I’ve been a fan of Cindy’s templates for awhile now but I love her SNAPSHOT templates most. I’m not a huge fan of scrapping multi pages of events so these templates help me get as many pictures as possible on a page while still having a great composition, clustering & journaling.
-Zoe’s kits also always seem to jump out at me. Fall Into Autumn has been used several times for various layouts. Fall is a favorite season of mine (it doesn’t seem to last long here) so I love this one of hers…and that gold glitter alpha? LOVE! I use it over and over.
-I’ve bitten my nails for as long as I can remember. I’ve tried to stop a few times. This year I was serious about it. To help me do that, I paint my nails. I have all the stuff to do shellac so I’ll do that or just paint them. A few friends introduced me to Zoya nail polish & it’s become my fave. I wait for sales to stock up & am slowly rotating out my older stash for the fun, new colors.
-PixieDust Tomoko. I love how neutral this polish is yet eye-catching with the pixie dust. I wear it all the time. My girls like it too.
-Ziv. The current gold obsession (almost) everyone has right now? This is perfect for them. It’s like gold foil on your nails. My daughter’s wearing it right now & I am too with some nail art.
-Barbie. I’m always a sucker for pink polish.
-Lael. A perfect fall/winter polish for me. I wasn’t a big fan of dark purple until I got this.
We *just* went to Disneyland for the first time a month ago. It was our first family vacation and a graduation vacation since my husband got his degree in December. I was not impressed the first day. It was crazy crowded and ride lines were insanely long. The second day was rough with the call of a loved one passing away but we still had fun. The third day? It all finally clicked! We got the routine, the fast passes, the tricks and the crowds weren’t nearly as bad as the first day. It was AWESOME! We ended up having to leave early but I’m already itching to go back! My girls talk about it every day.
-I LOVED seeing the castle! I’ve always wanted to see it and it was beautiful. We had a PP photographer suggest taking our picture here instead of right in front and it’s a favorite of mine.
-Meeting Anna & Elsa! My sweet husband waited in line for 3 1/2 hours for our girls to meet them. My youngest, Lola, talks about Anna all day long but walked straight to Elsa! Totally surprised me. She wouldn’t let ago either lol! They were so sweet with every person who came in to meet them.
-Cars Land was amazing. I loved Bug’s Land but Cars Land probably took #1. The stores, details, characters & rides were all so great. My girls waited in lines the best in Cars Land because of everything they could see….does that make sense? We got to meet Mater which they thought was SO cool.
-Ariel’s Grotto/Lunch with the Princesses. We really wanted to make sure the girls had fun and met princesses so we reserved lunch at Ariel’s Grotto. It was so much fun! It was perfect for our “princess loving” girls. They were severely shy for some strange reason (maybe because it was our last day & they were also tired?) but they loved getting pictures with the princess and dressing up in their princess dresses.
Confession: I don’t watch much TV. If I do, it’s something my husband has turned on and I’m next to him scrapping on my laptop. There are a few that we love to watch together and then some I have to find time to watch when he isn’t there.
-Arrow. We love this. My husband loves it because it’s a comic show and I like it because it’s got some action and the main guy is pretty cute lol!
-Pretty Little Liars. I need to get caught back up on this! This was my go-to show at one point, then we decided no more cable & Netflix isn’t getting them to me fast enough lol! This show is intense for me…sometimes too intense. My anxiety can get pretty high while watching but I can’t ever turn it off.
-Once Upon a Time. We watch this and then Revenge right after it. I love the storybook approach and all the attention to characters while still making it their own.
-Sons of Anarchy. This is a guilty pleasure show. I don’t know why I like it but I do! Way intense sometimes…times when I have to close my eyes. We watch this through Amazon so I can fast forward the intense scenes (and I wonder why I have anxiety haha!). I was shocked at the season finale and can’t wait for the next season to start. Oh and Jax…total crush.

Loved getting to know more about you Britanee! I also watch Pretty Little Liars and am waiting for them to update Netflix…wish they would update it like now lol.
