Selfies/Us-ies

When putting together this collage – I realized that I really don’t have very many photos of just me by myself. I love to take photos with those I love!

1- The first photo is of my husband and I last fall at the Bonneville Salt Flats. We were driving across country and had to stop at the salt flats to let the boys explore. And of course to take a us-ie!
2 – This photo is of me and my boys on my birthday. Love these boys with all my heart!!
3 – My sister and I! I don’t get to see her super often but when we are together we always have a ball!
4 – Another photo of my husband and I. For this picture we were in Seattle at the Chihuly Gardens (a spectacular place!).

Fave Layouts
It’s hard to pick just 4 favorite layouts from 2014! But I was able to narrow it down 😉
1 – Pirate. Love the photo of my son, the different layers and the kit was a blast to play with!
2 – Adventure. I just love the composition of this page! The mountains layered behind the photo and paper. The photo placed higher up on page to kind of symbolize being in a helicopter. And the memory was amazing!
3 – Fresh Berries. I love everything about this page. The photo, the element cluster, the different paper used. The messiness. Just perfect in my mind!
4 – Amazing. This layout was for a Think Outside the Box challenge – lift a page from Wilna F.’s gallery. The photo of my boys, the layers, the splatters, the stitching. It all just makes my heart happy.
(obviously I have a love for woodgrain!!)

Fave Products
There’s no way I could pick 4 favorite kits – especially since that changes every week! So I decided to highlight the products I use the most to finish my pages.
1 – Little Sew and Sew Frames. I usually use stitching on every page I do. And Erica’s are some of my favorite!
2 – Background Noise. When a kit doesn’t have any painty splatters – I turn to Jenn’s Background Noise! Perfect for adding to the background of my pages.
3 – My Stamp Stash. I also turn to Krystal’s Stamp Stash products when adding painty goodness to my pages. The combination of both Jenn and Krystal stampy goodness can’t be beat!
4 – Complete Package. I love to use alpha’s for my title work. And Shawna has a bucket loads of options in her store that I’ve used. The Complete Package is one of my favorites since there’s 12 different alphas to choose from!

Alaska Memories

Just last month my husband and I went on an amazing Alaskan cruise with his family. We saw so many amazing sights! And did some pretty amazing things. It was a fantastic vacation! Here are just a few of my favorite moments from our trip:
1 – The helicopter ride in Juneau to Mendenhall Glacier. Hello – helicopter ride!! The views were spectacular!!
2 – After the helicopter ride – we stayed on the glacier and went on a 3 hour trek. We climbed ice walls, we repelled – it was so much fun! The views were just breathtaking!
3 – One entire day was spent cruising thru Glacier National Park. We saw so much wildlife and the mountain/glacier views surrounding us were spectacular.
4 – Our last day in Alaska was in Ketchikan. There we decided to go kayaking in Orcas Cove. And we actually saw orca whales! One popped up right next to our guide – maybe 10 feet away from her! I wish I had my camera out for that sight!
tv
Summer TV
I am a reality TV junkie. My DVR is set to record all the above shows.
1 – Real Housewives of Orange County. The location that started it all! Love the drama, the ladies – it’s a nice way to step away for an hour and not worry about our own problems!
2 – Real Housewives of New Jersey. The next season starts today! A change in the cast should make this season interesting! I’m excited to watch!!
3 – America’s Got Talent. This is a show that my entire family likes to sit and watch together.
4 – Hell on Wheels. This show doesn’t start for a few more weeks yet but I am so excited! I never thought I would be interested in a cowboy show but being a history major I find this series very interesting! And I find Anson Mount to be quite a hottie!
