This week we’re Spotlighting Kim!

Hello Sweet Shoppe friends!  I’m not sure how I found myself being spotlighted on the blog, but it’s a treat to be here with you today.  This is a great place to get inspired by so many of you… your talent is amazing!  I’m a wife to the guy I met in college accounting class and a stay-at-home mom to three awesome kiddos.  I’m terrible at getting myself in front of the camera, not necessarily because I don’t want my photo taken, but because I’m always the one taking them.  I did find some recent photos for you though and you get to see the people who fill my days as well.

One of the products I love in the Shoppe is Traci’s Young & Wild & Free kit.  I had just become a member of her CT and she allowed us to brainstorm ideas with her that week that turned into this kit.  When Brook started designing at the Shoppe, I instantly fell in love with her products, especially her templates.  This set of templates is one that I’ve used over and over, adjusting to my layout each time.  What can I say about the Pieces of Eight kit?  I have two boys that love pirates.  I have a lot of pirate pics to scrap and I even printed one of the coordinating cards to use as the “sails” on a pirate birthday cake.  And my favorite list wouldn’t be complete without one of Zoe and Brook’s newest kits.  It is a perfect theme for a lot of photos I’m scrapping these days.

We are recent transplants to Florida and have spent the last year being spoiled by many great vacation spots.  The most special of these has been getting to take our kids to Disney.  I have memories of going with my family to Disney growing up, but we had never been able to take our kids until this past year.  Our Disney trips have helped us have fun together as a family while we were getting used to being away from home.  Of course we’ve had visitors who wanted to go with us too, including my parents in the top left photo.  The top right photo is Snow White talking to my 2-year-old during the Electrical Parade.  She gave him a kiss on the forehead, and he’s been talking about it ever since!  My oldest is a huge Star Wars fan, and we took him to Star Wars weekend.  Picture time with Luke and Leia on the bottom left… I think I might have been even more excited than they were!  And many of you will understand how big the last photo was to my daughter, who loves Frozen.  She waited ever so patiently for her turn to see Elsa.

Some people say you can have too much of a good thing, but there are a few things I don’t think I could ever grow tired of.  Chocolate.  A lot of women say they love chocolate, but it is truly my favorite food indulgence.  Don’t give me a dessert if it doesn’t have chocolate in it!  Warm sunny weather.  I’ve always lived where it gets hot in the summer and not too cold in the winter.  I’ve grown to love the sun and the heat and actually love it.  Music.  I grew up with lots of it playing in my home and I’ve always been a singer.  My husband and I love all kinds of music.  And speaking of my husband… of course my favorite thing I couldn’t live without is my family.  They love me no matter what and are the reason I started scrapping in the first place.
