This week we’re spotlighting SugarBabe Keely!

4in14-moi 1

I’m so not a fan of being in front of the camera even though I think it’s important. Every year I start out with great intentions of being in more pictures and inevitably fail. That being said, here are a few snaps of my life.

I live in the “Live Music Capital of the World”, Austin, TX and we love to take advantage of all the great music around here. Here’s a pic from one of our summer concerts.
I’m the mom to two very cool people but the dork is strong in all of us and this is usually how our pictures turn out.
I love beer, really. Lucky for me there are a lot of great craft breweries in the area, so here I am in my happy place, touring and drinking an excellent porter.
Lastly, my attempt at normal.
4in14-layouts
Picking favorite layouts is really hard, my favorites change with time and mood and criteria. I decided to pick a few of my favorites from this year in no particular order.
The first is Eleven, I love the pops of color and my daughter’s photo, she was happy and so is the page.
I’m a huge fan of our Think Outside the Box Challenges, I think they stand out among the community, they’re easy to following along with and truly inspiring. My next page was from one of those challenges I Am From.  I love to doodle, am a fan of doing photo-less pages, this one was just a joy to do. It was fun and sentimental and I was able to really put my mark on it.
Dream is a layout that I just really like the feel of, I love the softness and all the girly, feminine bits that are not a part of my real life, non-girly girl self.
My last choice is Growing Up. It captures my girls in their element, in a style that really suits them and it’s from the heart.
These are my favorite types of pages to scrap, I’m not great with themes and events but I think I have a good handle of the bits of the every day stuff and that’s what makes up the bulk of my books. My family appreciates them.
4in14-shoppe products 1
I could list pages and pages of products I love. Our shop is chock full of scrumptious supplies, picking four was torture.
I chose Erica’s Tab, You’re It because I’m a fan of office supplies in all forms, tangible and  the digital. I find myself grabbing from this stash a lot.
Zoe’s Neon Crush may be slightly out of her usual style but it’s one of my all time favorites, it’s fun and modern and so easy to use.
I fell in love with Jenn’s Perfect Fit at first sight, it has excellent little bits and the most delicious patterned papers, and she really rocked that color scheme which I happen to adore.
My last choice is Clip It To Me vol. 2 ( also a big  fan of the other volumes )from Traci. I’m an element pack junkie, I also love details, and this is one of the best go to packs. Need a little texture or some ooomph? Tear it up! They’re easy to use and give that little extra that turns meh into ah-mah-zing.
4in14-podcast
I’m an entertainment junkie, I love books, television, movies, and music. There obviously isn’t enough time in the day for all of it and when I’m being good and productive and need to multi-task or doing a lot of driving around. I listen to podcasts. What did I do before podcast? I’m not sure but I don’t think I want to remember. Nerdy pop culture, Nerdist has been my favorite for years and I really enjoy Girl on Guy as well, ( there’s adult content so beware ). I’m an NPR listener and their new series Serial is really good, they follow one crime case across the entire season. Stuff You Missed in History Class is great because they’re short and kid friendly, my entire family enjoys that one.
4in14-tech
You can’t digital scrap without some fun tech gear. These are my must haves.
Radlab, I was late on that one, it seemed too expensive and I wasn’t really convinced and now it’s one of my favorite photo tools. The ease of use and the way it speeds up work flow, I want to kiss it.
I have a few Western Digital Passport EHDs, because if there’s one thing I preach it’s this, BACK YOUR STUFF UP. Really, just do it. Stuff happens and losing your pictures or layouts or supplies is painful and mostly avoidable. ( I can recommend BackBlaze too 😉 )
I’m a tablet user, not a little bit, full on. I don’t own a mouse and use my pen and tablet to scrap every page. After killing my second Wacom I bought a Monoprice tablet for $40 or $50, it came with two pens and a bunch of extra nibs and it works wonderfully.
When Adobe went to the Creative Cloud I wasn’t exactly thrilled, in fact, I was immensely peeved. I’ve come to love it though, you can’t beat Photoshop, I organize supplies in Bridge and use Lightroom for my pictures. I’ve even started dabbling in Illustrator and In Design simply because I have access and like to learn new things.
So there’s a snippet of me in ’14. Thanks for spending your time!
