Thursday Treats – Baking Edition 5/14
This Thursday we are celebrating two sweet “holidays” – World Baking Day on May 17th and Chocolate Chip Day on May 15th. Both baking and chocolate chips are near and dear to MY heart!
If you break out the mixer, the flour, sugar and chocolate chips this week to do a little celebrating of your own, I picked out a few kits from the Shoppe to help you tell those stories. You could also use them to document a favorite family recipe or two for your albums.

I didn’t think this blog post would be complete without an actual chocolate chip cookie recipe. I remember really loving the explanation from Alton Brown about WHY chocolate chip cookies are either thin, puffy or chewy and HOW to make the kind you like. I’m partial to gooey, chewy ones myself.
