Featured Designer – Kristin Cronin-Barrow Needs Your Help!
It’s Kristin’s day to shine and she has a fun challenge for you! Before we get to that, we’re going to shine a spotlight on one of her most popular series, the Great Outdoors. This series of 6 (so far…) digital scrapbook bundles is filled with different ways we can view our great outdoors. Many of us love to travel to see the world, or we look to the beauty around us, or maybe be want to go on an adventure. Sometimes we need the peace of a big meadow or we need the sounds & smells of the ocean. No matter what, these Great Outdoors products will help you scrap & journal whatever you do or see. Here’s a look at all of them together:
Now here’s where she needs YOUR help! KCB wants to know what YOU want to see next in the Great Outdoors series. Isn’t that exciting?! You have a chance to be a part of the creative process! What do you get if she chooses your idea? The winner will get the kit for free AND a $20 GC to Kristin’s store! Woohoo!! You have until Monday, October 5 to leave a comment below & be entered. The deadline will be 10 pm MST. Get those ideas flowing!
I’ll leave you with another goodie. Jacinda made this freebie and you get to have it! Click here or on the image to download.
Good luck with the ideas! I can’t wait to read what you think should be next. Remember, the deadline is Monday, October 5 by 10 pm MST!

Can I suggest two ideas?
I would love to see a geocache theme… with compass, gps, some sort of cantainers, themed snippets/word art,…
My second suggestion is an icy/snow theme with snow mountains, a cabin perhaps, lots of snow and ice crystals,… I think it would be perfect since the winter is coming closer.

Wow, excited to have seen the collection so far and growing! Would love the installments of Desert Rose, Alloha, and a Picnic in the park, but also the great outdoors means Wildlife to me, so would be exciting to get more critters: squirrels, hedgehogs, mice, deer, bears, foxes, insects, snakes in the Please, protect me… or something. Is it possible to have a City Break in the great outdoors for all those week ends in a city, which as a European traveller I like doing. Thanks.

I love her Great Outdoors series – I have several of those bundles!
My suggestion – Great Outdoors: Mother Nature or Mother Earth… so something with an environmental theme – plants, animals/wildlife, fresh air and water, looking after our environment, preserving natural spaces in National Parks, etc.

Tropics 🙂 (I live in Malaysia. I’d love to see something with rainforest topography, brightly colored butterflies and birds, bright sunshine, tropical flowers, and a little somethin’ brightly colored for the ocean.)

I visited Prague last weekend and we had a beautiful walk up in the hills above the city. So something like “in the hills” would be perfect for me!

I really love your Great Outdoors series. The bundles are beautiful and I love anything outdoors, so it’s one of my favorite series. I have two ideas if that’s okay. Well, I actually have more but I’ll limit it to two ;).
1. Mother earth theme – with the angle of what we learn from earth and nature if we listen and watch – inspiration, perspective, uplift, renew, etc. Like the quote, “You should sit in meditation for 20 minutes every day – unless you’re too busy; then you should sit for an hour.” Listening and learning from earth, the one common mother we all have. This idea would actually almost be a whole other series by itself.
2. Conquer theme. You already have adventure, explore… now you should do conquer!

I would love to see Great Outdoors Ponds and Lakes
Also – I love the rainforest jungle idea. Perhaps a tropical/Hawaii Aloha kit with lots of bright colors and tropical greens??? A little beach in there too?

How about Great Outdoors Forest! Pine trees. Critters. Moose, bears, racoons, owls, squirrels, chipmunks pine cones, evergreen trees, ferns and mossy plants. I would love a log cabin!!!
Also – you can’t go wrong with Great Outdoors Autumn – bright red maple trees, yellow aspens, orange pumpkins. This could include hiking too!

How about Great Outdoors: Waterfalls or mountains or even rivers
It would be nice to see fish like salmon and trout and some animals, greenery, mountain range, waterfalls, pools of water. Oh and even some water plants like water lily, maybe some frogs, snails, rocks

I would love a camping/hunting Great Outdoors. One with lots of critters that I can use to scrap my husbands and sons hunting and camping pictures.
Also would love a fishing kit because I have just as many pictures of all of us fishing.

I LOVE KCB’s Great Outdoor series and I’m so excited to see what the next releases will be!
My idea – one geared towards being ON the water – as in canoing, kayaking, whale watching (LOVE THIS!), snorkling, along with wonderful things found under the water – coral, shells, starfish, fish, whales, etc. This would be a great addition to anyone going on cruises, family vacations, excursions, etc.

Love this series from KCB! I was going to suggest something with waterfalls and ponds, but see that’s been mentioned. What about a mountain retreat type kit – like getting away from all our responsibilitis and spending the weekend (or more) at a secluded cabin in the mountains. Or one about parks, BBQing, and bonfires? I am excited to see what Kristin comes up with next!

Love the ideas so far! I’d love to see a woodsy/forest themed Great Outdoors collection.
I grew up in a pretty rural part of Northwest CT, and I have so many memories of playing in the woods – climbing the trees, splashing in the little streams, building forts and exploring with my older brothers when we were young. We were surrounded by the woods, so this was all in our “back yard,” LOL!

I would say Desert. Sonoran with pinks, oranges, purples, and blues. There are some beautiful colors in the desert and they don’t always get represented in outdoors kits!

Oh I LOVE this series. I own and use all of them. The Great Outdoors has embellished so many of our family memories- from Mt Rainier to the Appalachian Trail and so many places in between. I would love to see a National Park themed kit (hiking? camping?). Or a lake theme (kayak, tubing, canoe). Thank you!

It seems however many times I try to comment, my comment gets lost. I would love a winter kit, with all the wintery activities like ice scating, downhill skiing, sledding and building snow men. I do love all the suggestions though!!
