Scrapping Sunday – Leap Day!
This post isn’t going to be quite like the others but this year isn’t going to be either. See what I did there? 😉 LOL! Tomorrow is Leap Day…a day that only happens once every 4 years. Some people love that day & some people don’t. Personally, I’m petrified I’ll go into labor & have my baby tomorrow. My husband thinks a Leap Day birthday would be awesome. See? Totally different.
How do you feel about this day? Regardless, it’s still a fun moment to capture & scrap about. If you think about it, this day only comes around 1/4 of your life. That can be pretty incredible! I thought I’d share some ideas on how to scrap this day. I hope you like them! Feel free to share more ideas & inspiration in the comments below.
Here’s a list of ways to use this day as some scrapping inspiration!
- “Now & Then” – a photo from 4 years ago & today.
- “4 Years in Review” – pick a few of your favorite photos/events from the past 4 years and scrap them!
- “Timeline” – what’s happened in the last 4 years.
- “In 4 Years…” – scrap where you’d like to be in life when the next Leap Day rolls around (in 2020!).
- “Take a Leap” – make this day (or year) even better with something that requires you to take a leap…that could mean a leap of faith, a leap by exercise, etc. Make it yours!
- “Leap Day Routine” – I think this would be so much fun! Many scrappers capture a day in their life, how about this day? That’d be so fun to look back on when the next Leap Day comes.
- “Leap Day Favorites” – Use this day to scrap your current faves.
I think it’s always a fun day to look back on. I might not want my baby born on Leap Day but I’m already thinking of ways I can capture the day and scrap all about it. I don’t have a page yet but I’ll get to work on that asap. If you play along, link us up to your layout in the comments. I’d love to be inspired by you too!

These are some pretty cool ideas.
As to how I feel about leap day – it actually makes me sad because my grandmother died on 29th Feb 2000.
I think it’s not cool at all to be born on leap day — it’s strange to not be able to celebrate your birthday on the exact day for three years.
