Miscellaneous Monday – Cousins Day
I just spent the past week with extended family that came into town. A cousin came in with her kids and it was so great to spend time with her & see my kids play with her kids. We grew up near each other and were together ALL THE TIME. She was always with me & my twin. So much that we called ourselves triplets haha! We loved when we wore matching & coordinating outfits. She’s honestly entwined in so many of my childhood memories & I don’t know what i’d do without her.
I love that we have such a great relationship and now our children have fun together (even though we’re states away from each other). It made me smile HUGE when I saw that today is “Cousins Day”! The origin of this unofficial holiday is unknown but that’s ok. It’s always a great day to celebrate those that we grew up with, right? Take some time today to reach out to a cousin or 2 (or all of them) via social media, text, call…whichever way & brighten their day!
