Featured Designer FWP – Kristin Cronin-Barrow

Happy Friday friends! It’s a new day, and we’re debuting a new Featured Designer! As you know, over the past year and a bit, we’ve had all of our designers in the spotlight as our featured designers, so we’ve started fresh with a new series of featured designer FWP products that will center around the letters of the alphabet! Kristin Cronin-Barrow is up next with the letter “T”, and she has an amazing kit for us, T is for Transition. As usual, Kristin has created an absolutely BEAUTIFUL kit that you’ll want to use over and over. Take a look . . .

I asked Kristin a few questions about this kit and the process she went through to create it. Here’s what she had to say:

Tell us a little bit about the direction you took for your letter of the alphabet.

I knew that when I was designing the kit I wanted to pick a word that wasn’t too common and I wanted to create a kit in my signature pretty/floral style. I tend to do a lot of floral kits as well as nature inspired as those are what come easiest to me. I knew I wanted to choose a word where the kit designing came naturally instead of forced which sometimes happens to me.

Did you find it difficult coming up with a concept for your letter?

It was challenging in the sense that there are a LOT of options with the letter T! Instead of struggling to find a good word my struggle was narrowing it down! I knew I wanted to make a coordinating kit so it took some time for me to figure out exactly what direction I wanted to go.

I also asked Kristin a few more questions about herself, her love for this hobby of ours, and some of her favorite layouts or products:

Your Featured Designer 15 is coming up, what product are you most excited to put on sale?

I released these kits in the spring but I started them last summer. I had this idea in my head for quite some time before that so to say they took awhile to complete is an understatement. I felt really bad for my CT while designing these kits because I kept postponing and postponing. The rainbow kit especially was a struggle for me. I’m not 100% sure why. I do like how they turned out though and the layouts created with both of these kits are truly stunning to me! I love it when layouts with the same kit can look so different from each other.

When you aren’t designing digital treats, what do you spend most of your time doing?

In the last few months I have started listening to audiobooks and am obsessed! I am subscribed to scribd as well as using my library/libby app. It is so nice to be able to listen to a book while I go for a walk or while I’m working. I’ve always struggled with finding the time to sit down and read so this is helping me do more than one thing at once. I always thought audiobooks weren’t for me but then I realized you can speed them up. Listening to them a little bit faster than the speed they were recorded at makes a HUGE difference for me.

Here are some of my favourite reads so far this year.  I have loved so many books that I’ve listened to! I think Where the Crawdads Sing stands out as my favourite, but it’s a tough call. My tastes vary quite a bit and I’m really enjoying exploring genres I have passed on before. Audiobooks are seriously the best!

Show us the last layout you scrapped!

I don’t scrap nearly as often as I want to. I don’t even really take pictures much these days but I have tons of photos I want to scrap. Sometimes it’s a little hard because it makes me sad to see how fast time has gone by and how quickly we’re moving out of that childhood stage in our family.

I scrapped this page with a dip by Erica, Ru, and Bobbie—Let it Be. SUPER old photos!

Do you have a contest, call or giveaway that you want to share with our readers? Tell us about it!

I will have my annual guest call coming at the end of August so stay on the lookout for that!

The Babes created some gorgeous layouts with T Is for Transition. I was seriously blown away by the wonderful, unique pages the Babes created with this kit! They really show off how amazing Natasha’s kit is, and we hope their pages inspire you.

S0 go fill up your shopping cart with $10, and T is for Transition will be automatically added for FREE! This special offer will only be available through Friday, August 2 when our new releases go live, so don’t delay! And don’t forget to come back next week when we have a little sneak peek into our fun, bi-weekly sale involving our amazing featured designers! Have a great weekend!

  • Beautiful!

But I noticed a typo. You say Natasha’s kit instead of Kristin’s. Right before the babes’ layouts.
