Miscellaneous Monday – Little Artists

Happy Monday everyone! I hope everyone had a great weekend and is ready for a new week! We had a pretty heavy snowstorm last night, so school started two hours late this morning. Since my kids were home, and I was struggling to get into my normal morning routine, I decided to tackle a project that I’ve been putting off for a loooooong time—taking pictures of and scanning all the hundreds of papers and art projects that my kids have brought home from school over the last 9–10 years. Several months back, we went through all the papers we had stashed in bins and file sorters and threw away the things that weren’t really meaningful—culling down our piles to something that seemed relatively manageable. But, I’ve been putting off getting it all digitized. So, this morning, I began. . . .

This project got me thinking about how many fun layouts I’ve seen over the years that feature kids’ artwork or craft projects. So, I decided to make that the topic of today’s blog post. I did some targeted searches in the Sweet Shoppe Gallery and found several wonderful layouts that showcase artwork, school projects, and crafts. There are so many different ways to document these memories, and I’m so excited to share some examples with all of you! Take a look . . .

I had so much fun looking for all these creative layouts! We have such a talented community, and our members have talented kids! I’m looking forward to creating some layouts featuring my kids’ artwork . . . once I finish getting them all into my computer! If you have some childhood masterpieces laying around, go grab ’em, create a layout, and share it with all of us!

Have a great week!
