Featured Designer FWP – Meghan Mullens
Happy Friday, friends! We’ve come to the end of another week. How’s everybody doing? Wherever you are in the world, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. I’m really grateful for our sweet community, especially right now when things are so strange. Keep hanging in there!!
Today I’m excited to introduce Meghan Mullens as our Featured Designer!
As you know, the current theme for our Featured Designer freebies this year is a Mix Tape. Each designer will create something inspired by one of their favorite songs, and at the end of the year, we will have an amazing mix tape compilation! Meghan has created a beautiful kit for us, inspired by a song by Natasha Bedingfield, Unwritten. Take a look . . .
I just might be sitting here drooling over the gorgeous papers in this kit! I love the different patterns and the beautiful, calming color scheme.
I asked Meghan a few questions about this kit and the process she went through to create it. Here’s what she had to say:
What song did you choose as your inspiration? Why does it speak to or inspire you?
I chose Unwritten by Natasha Bedingfield. I’m just now really at the point in life where I feel like I’m coming into the person I love and want to be. The book of life is essentially unwritten, so this song spoke to me.
How did you decide what direction to take your kit after choosing the song for our mix-tape?
I tend to get introspective sometimes when I design. Your life is your story and only you can choose how to live it. I designed this kit with the intent to scrap about my own life and what I hope for the future.

When you aren’t designing digital treats, what do you spend most of your time doing?
My guy and I love to travel. When I’m not designing (or working), I’m either out of town or planning a future vacation! I do occasionally read and decorate too.

What is the last book you read? Did you love, hate it or was it just meh?
I’m currently reading The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes. It’s pretty good. I’m a HUGE fan of the Hunger Games book series (and movies!), so I was excited to dive into this prequel. So far, it’s decent!
