Featured Designer FWP – Amanda Yi
Happy Friday, friends! We’ve come to the end of another week. How’s everybody doing? Wherever you are in the world, I hope you and your loved ones are safe and healthy. I’m really grateful for our sweet community, especially right now when things are so strange. Keep hanging in there!!
Today, in addition to the anticipation for DSD, I’m excited to introduce Amanda Yi as our Featured Designer!
As you know, the current theme for our Featured Designer freebies this year is a Mix Tape. Each designer will create something inspired by one of their favorite songs, and at the end of the year, we will have an amazing mix tape compilation! Amanda has created a beautiful kit for us, Good Old Days, inspired by a song by Macklemore and Kesha. Take a look . . .
This kit is so fun and colorful and happy! It’s absolutely perfect for documenting your most precious memories.
I asked Amanda a few questions about this kit and the process she went through to create it. Here’s what she had to say:
What song did you choose as your inspiration? Why does it speak to or inspire in you?
I chose Good Old Days by Mackelmore and Kesha. The song inspires me because it focuses on living in the moment because you want those moments to end up being the good old days.
How did you decide what direction to take your kit after choosing the song for our mix-tape?
I felt it was important to showcase the feel good vibes I got from listening to the song over and over again. I chose feel-good colors and doodled some everyday happy go lucky elements. It really came out cute!

Your Featured Designer 15 is coming up, what product are you most excited to put on sale?
I am most excited to put my She Reflects collection on sale. I made this kit for myself with the hopes that it would speak to someone else.
What is the last book you read? Did you love, hate it or was it just meh?
The last book I read was Daughter of Smoke and Bone by Laini Taylor. I love fantasy stuff so this one really intrigued me. Definitely recommend!
