Featured Designer – JoCee Designs
Well, here we are again, the last Friday in March. I hope you’ve been able to get out and enjoy the first week of spring a little. Since it’s Friday, you know it’s time to introduce our next Featured Designer, Jo of JoCee Designs.
Keeping with the festive spirit in mind of our big birthday, our designers decided that a year long celebration of everything that makes our lives special would be the perfect way to keep the party going, “Celebrate YOU!” is the theme that will be inspiring our Featured Designer freebies this year! From your job, to your school, to your favorite holidays and more, we’re celebrating all of life’s memorable moments this year, and Jo’s kit is an awesome way to celebrate you or others that are always looking on the brighter side of things! Always the Optimist is will make you want to think those positive thoughts and I love the colors she picked. All those purples, blues and greens coordinate perfectly together.
She even created an awesome add on collection if you want to be even more of an optimist!
What is your favorite thing to “celebrate”? Is it your birthday? Christmas? Something else?
Honestly, my most fave thing in the world to celebrate are my kids. I know that sounds a bit twee but that is my truth. Their successes, achievements, goal setting and ability to bounce back from adversity, especially after/during/including the last two years. Even now, as I write, our son has, and now I have, covid, and is dealing with it like a champion (whilst we are all in a seven-day isolation period, fun times) My joy, my wealth and my celebrations are my kids, they are my world.
Do you like to scrapbook? How often do you get around to it?
I LOVE to scrapbook and try to create a page with every collection I design. I wish I could do more and are still reminded of the pages I need to finish from our first overseas trip with the kids… IN 2010!!!
What do you find most challenging about designing?
Keeping it fresh, coming up with new, and valid, ideas every week and keeping myself motivated to finish the collection. Also, sitting at my desk all day is hard on my hips, lol.
Do you watch tv or listen to music when you’re designing? Or do you prefer silence?
I have to have the radio playing. Silence is far too loud for me. I used to study with the radio on just to have some ‘white noise’ in the background. People thought I was crazy, but it worked for me, still does.
