Sweet Shoppe Designs – The Sweetest Digital Scrapbooking Site on the Web

Hey everyone I’m excited to bring you one of our blog feature, Sweet Talk, which sheds some light on YOU. Our amazing community members. Once a month we will indulge in some “sweet talk” and have some fun getting to know you all a little bit better.

We’ll start off with an ice breaker and show off some gorgeous pages then we’ll end the interview with a lightning round of 15 questions to learn some fun, interesting and cool things about a different member of the sweetest spot in town!

This month I’m excited to introduce: Shellby (shellbyj in the forum)

Tell us a bit about yourself. How you came to find digital scrapbooking? Day job, where you live, pets, kids? Give us the tea!!

She says: “My name is Shellby and I am a stay at home mom to 3 crazy boys and three black cats. I had been paper scrapping for years but found it hard to do with a one year old getting into everything so I have been a digital scrapbooker since 2013.I live in Melbourne, Florida. I am an insane Star Wars and Disney nerd. My happy place is an hour away and I am at Disney World several times a month. I own way too many baby Yodas.”

 

I love our members and I love looking through the different galleries. Shellby’s gallery was full of her family-centric, full of love pages like this one:

I love her fun style and the cute faces she features are sure to melt your heart, whether they are human faces or baby Yoda faces. lol

 

I asked Shellby to choose her favorite pages from her own gallery and she was happy to share these with us:

Of course Shellby has lots more of beautiful pages in her gallery. If you want to see more or leave her a little love in her gallery. I’m sure she would like that.  But this interview isn’t all about her gorgeous creations before we go let’s learn some more about Shellby. I gave her a list of questions to choose from and asked her to answer any 15 of her choice.

1. What type of music are you into?
BROADWAY. I know Hamilton by heart and rock out to many shows like Ragtime, Six, In the Heights and Wicked. I also love late 90s and 2000?s pop.

2. What’s the next place on your travel bucket list?
I am debating between seeing great white sharks in Cape Cod or going to see my beloved Florida State University play in Ireland.

3. Are you an introvert or extrovert?
If you know me, I’m an extrovert, if you don’t know me, introvert.

4. What’s your favorite pizza topping?
Black olives need to cover the entire pizza.

5. If you could tell us to read one book, what would you recommend?
My favorite books to forget the world are A Discovery of Witches by Deborah Harkness. Three books, mad vampire and witch romance plus lots of historic fiction.

6. What’s your guilty pleasure?
Drinking red wine and watching Star Wars

7.What’s one family tradition from childhood? And did you keep it for adulthood?
Every Christmas Eve I was with my dad when I was a teen, we would go to the movies, the adults would sneak in wine and then we would go to Thai food. Now its a bonus if we get to the movies but on Christmas Eve, we have friends over and order a lot of sushi and thai takeout.

8. What color dominates your closest? Is it the same for your home decor?
PURPLE is my color. I have loads and loads of purple, FSU and Star Wars I wear. My living room is also purple and hold lots of star wars memorabilia

9. What pop culture trend are you totally part of?
I embrace my inner nerd and I am definitely a Disney Adult

10. Amusement park or National park?
Disney. I am lucky to live an hour away from Disney World. It is my happy place.

11. Choose a fictional character to be your best friend, who is it?
Princess Leia or Baby Yoda

12. Dead or Alive, who do you want to have one conversation with?
I would have conversations with the women I admire: Anne Frank, Eleanor Roosevelt, my maternal grandmother and Hillary Clinton

13. Share a pet peeve with us?
People clogging up the passing lane on the interstate.

14. What is the first thing you’d spend money on if you won the lottery?
I would start by going on an around the world adventure to all the Disney Parks and start planning my compound where my friends and I would live.

15. You’re alone for 24 hours, what do you do?
Sleep, watch smutty chick flicks while scrapbooking, chill with my cat and lots of Italian food.

 

I loved learning more about Shellby, it is so cool that she might go to Ireland to see a football game and I share one of my pet peeves with her. I hate those interstate drivers in the passing lane too, lol. Shellby thank you so much for taking time to answer my questions and share more about you with us.
