March 12: International Plant a Flower Day
We’ve all heard of love languages, but have you heard of flower languages? I had not until I started to write this blog post. Floriography is the language of flowers and was popularized during the Victorian era when learning the symbolism behind each flower became a popular hobby. Because of the hobby, planting and tending to flower gardens became very popular. It was said that bouquets that were given between lovers and friends sometimes held secret meanings, depending on which flowers were included. Some of the flower meanings include Violet: wisdom & hope ~ Daisy: youth & purity and Buttercups: humility & sweetness of childhood. Today flower gardening is as popular as ever and according to Google, there are 400,000 flowering plant species across the world! I wonder how many species are in the kits throughout SSD shoppe! So many of the kits in the shoppe are filled with beautiful florals and greenery and are perfect for scrapping any sort of themed pages you might be wanting to scrap. Let’s take a closer look!
