Summer Scrap-A-Thon Shoutouts (Vol 4)

Welcome back my scrapping friends!! Today we’re continuing our coverage of the Summer Scrap-A-Thon challenges and it’s hard to believe the first month is nearly complete!

Let’s start with Sugarbabe Heather’s Tetris challenge, based on the classic 1980’s game. The idea behind Heather’s challenge is to scrap a layout using a variety of shapes from the classic video game to piece together parts of your page.

I love Hichchei‘s fun take on the challenge! The way she’s stacked each Lego to create a creative and interesting background is so cool!!

Ferdy‘s use of cropped papers was an ideal way to complete the challenge!!

Hether’s challenge wraps up the first portion of the challenges. Next up we have nine awesome challenges all based around the Olympics – and it’s going to be loads of fun!! For now, let’s take another look at some amazingly creative challenge layouts from the first thirteen challenges.

Studio Liv racked up a whopping 223 points with her Scrabble layout, using words such as quaint, gale, royal and rotten, to name just a few!! Some of the ellies she included on her page include twine, ink splatters, confetti, an umbrella and lace. I’d say she is a Scrabble Queen!!

Wow! Check out Chocochoco’s take on the challenge!! She opted to send her word list to Robin as she’s playing for a bonus prize, so we don’t know what her Scrabble board looked like, but I can bet it was jam packed with points!!

Aussiegirl used the letter T for her Scattergories challenge. Her T words consisted of tide pool, template, trim, tan, turquoise & teal, tell me more (journaling), timestamp, tropical elements, thread, three pieces of dry grass, texture (sand), traces of paint and ten photos!! TTTTTTerrific layout!

Bcgal00‘s beautiful Scattergories layout was designed around the letter P, and includes the following elements: pompom, pin, paint, polka dot ribbon, pair of leaves, prickly cactus, pastel flower, pink flower, paper flower, puzzle piece, postage stamp, purple flowers, pointed leaves, photographer word art, portrait, plaid paper, paper piece, plastic button, puffy heart, pleated heart, plethora of flower stickers, price tag label and lastly a printed text frame!! What a PPPPPPPerfect page!!!

I loved seeing all of the monochromatic layouts in the Blackjack challenge thread. Here are a few beauties:

Until then, happy scrapping!!
