Summer Scrap-A-Thon Shoutouts (Vol 6)

Hello hello my friends!! Today wraps up the official Olympics in Paris and I have to admit, I am a little bummed. I so enjoyed watching the events and ceremonies! It’s awesome that the Summer Scrap-A-Thon continues on – there are still ten challenges to be revealed!

Let’s take a look back at the last few Olympic-themed challenges.

Sugarbabe Jacina hosted a Wrestling challenge, where she invited you to scrap a journal heavy page about a decision you’ve had to wrestle with. I love how our community embraced the challenge.

To retire or not to retire can be a big decision and I love the way that Im44west documented her struggle with it. I’m so very happy it all turned out better than she imagined, and I bet her extra retirement time allows her to scrap beautiful layouts like this one.

LauraOD journaled about her make-up (or lack of) routine as she grows older. She even created a new and wonderful ‘oldladying’ hashtag!! Go Laura!!

Let’s talk Flag Football for a minute – Sugarbabe Krista shared that according to Wikipedia, the 2028 Summer Olympics will introduce the sport of flag football for the first time. Two events, one for men and one for women, will be held. Flag football, a variant of American football in which players remove flags attached to the ball carrier instead of tackling them, was previously contested at the 2022 World Games. Her challenge is to create a page with a plethora of flags, buntings, pennants, etc. in honor of flag football.

Angbrey scored a big touchdown with her layout!! I think she also scored the extra point! Way to go!!

PictureMom‘s page scored as well!! So pretty!!

Sugarbabe Rebecca’s Track 4×100 Relay challenge requires you to create a page that must be divided into 4 quadrants. Each quadrant must represent part of the overall whole. The pages created for the challenge so far are so fun and each so unique!!

I am in awe of Mrs. Peel’s take on the challenge! WOW – just WOW!!!! Creativity overflow in the best way possible!!

Fruitysuet’s page is all sort of perfect as well!! I love the way she’s labeled each quarter of her brilliant page!

Sugarbabe Heather wrapped up the Olympic game portion of the challenges with her Closing Ceremony challenge. The challenge was easy-peasy: to create a page with a party-like atmosphere. Think fireworks, sparklers, music and more!

A 21st birthday was the celebration that Lynn Zant created a page to document. Looks like it was a fun fun time!!

ShelbyJ also went with a birthday themed page – happy 3rd birthday!!

That’s all for today … I can’t wait to see what the next ten challenges bring! Be sure to check back here for more inspiration!

Enjoy your day, and until next time – happy scrapping!!
