Summer Scrap-A-Thon Shoutouts (Vol 8)

Hello sweet scrappers! Today is the final blog post highlighting our fantastic summer event! The past months have gone by far too quickly! I hope you’ve been able to admire your own gallery as it grew with each challenge you completed!! Let’s take a look at the last couple of challenges.

I remember playing the video game Space Invaders as a teenager, and I love the challenge that Sugarbabe Kiana hosted – and it was easy enough – your task was to create a page that’s invaded by goodies. So so many awesome pages were created for the challenge!

Brendazzle created a fun page about 15 books she needs to read in 25 days! Yowsers! Good luck!!

Kimberly27 also went with a book theme – I love how she’s filled up her layout perfectly!

Cinderella’s filled page is fabulous!!

Love the creativity of porkchopsmom’s page!

I had a blast hosting the Twister challenge! I have always been intrigued by tongue twisters and loved the creative pages created for the challenge!! So much creativity!

Check out hichchei’s fishy page:

“How much wood” is a favorite tongue twister and robinoes66‘s page flawless page. (Love the wording on a path!!)

How fun was Sugarbabe Carrie’s Perfection challenge? You challenge was to include one of the shapes from the classic game. I love the different shapes that were used!! Check these pages out!

tgmousechick used repeating triangles brilliantly!

Hexagons were the shape of choice for vrielinkie.

Sugarbabe Trina hosted a super fun Checkers challenge. Trina shared that the game was created in the 12th century. Checkers is a fun game for any age, and for this challenge we’re asking you to turn the background of your page into a large checkerboard background with papers, photos and elements used to represent the “pieces” on your board.

Love scrappinnewbie’s take on the fun challenge!

Clucaswv04‘s page is all kinds of wonderful!

I think Sugarababe Krista’s Memory challenge reflects one of the biggest reasons we create pages … to remember the memories!! However; her challenge also had a twist … you are to use only matching pairs of items (2 butterflies, 2 of the same photo, 2 buttons, etc etc).

Picturemom’s page is heartwarming and I’m sure, an awesome memory for her!!

CaroRen’s page is just stunning with her repeated elements!

The 2nd to last challenge in the event was hosted by Sugarbabe Vanessa – Guess Who with the object was to create a page about someone in your life or family without using their name or photo but rather describing them through their faves, quirks, personality traits, etc. “Guess Who?” must be included on your page as the title.

Mone created a beautiful page and the addition of the little elements is perfect!

Check out GraceJ’s fun and creative page!

Leablahblah’s page is incredible!!

Drum roll please … last, but certainly not least is Sugarbabe Angie’s Uno challenge. And, quite a challenge it might be – one photo. one color. one word title. WOW!! It didn’t seem to trip you all up though – the thread is filled with amazingly, creative and beautiful pages!!

LynnZant’s page is just lovely!

What a beautiful page created by chai

Romajo’s page is both stunning and heartwarming, she notes that it a tribute to her father.

Angie wrapped it all up perfectly: Thank you so much for joining us for our Sweet Shoppe Summer Games. I hope you’ve found plenty of inspiration, learned a new skill or two, and most importantly, scrapped lots of your family’s memories and photographs! We’re so grateful you’re part of our sweet community!

Thanks for stopping by the blog throughout the summer event … I appreciate each of you!!

Until next time, happy scrapping!
Jill
