November 13 – World Kindness Day
Greetings dear friends!
World Kindness Day 2024 is a global observance dedicated to promoting and celebrating acts of kindness. This day serves as a reminder of the positive impact that kindness can have on individuals, communities, and the world at large. It encourages people to perform intentional acts of kindness and foster a culture of compassion and generosity. “In a world where you can be anything, be kind” … what a great mantra that is for all of us!
Today I wanted to showcase some of the layouts I’ve discovered in the gallery that are pertinent to kindness – and I might add – there are lots and lots of them!! Of course, the shoppe is filled with kits specifically designed around kindness, however; when it is the ACT of kindness we are scrapping about, there is no limit to the theme of the kit that could be used.

I think this page is the perfect way to kick off the showcased pages … ! Each journal card contains wonderful words of wisdom! The soft hues with the pops of bold colored flowers equal perfection! Note to Self: Always Be Kind Bundle by Kristin Cronin-Barrow and Studio Basic was an excellent choice!

Kelly used her own Kindness Confetti kit to scrap this amazing “Kindess Rocks” layout – what an awesome project for her and her family during the pandemic and a wonderful way to spread joy and kindness to neighbors!

This layout I created tells the story of paying it forward shortly after my mom’s passing. The person I ended up buying coffee for was mom’s hospice nurse. The simple act of paying it forward meant as much to me as I’m sure it did to her. I used KCB’s Choose Kindness Bundle.

I love the way that angels has showcased the handmade cards that she shares as acts of kindness. Giving handmade items is so very rewarding and I am pretty sure that each person’s heart was warmed when they opened the beautiful cards. She used Crafters Gonna Craft by Erica Zane to create her layout.

Volunteering is another great way to spread kindness as Jenn’s layout suggests. We never know how our small acts of kindness (big or small) can impact someone else. I love that Leticia, Becky and Jenn spent time volunteering at the Bishop storehouse. She used Eat Good Feel Good Bundle by Clever Monkey Graphics & Blagovesta Gosheva to create her pretty page.

I love that Stefanie brightened her friend’s day with the gift of sunflowers and chocolate. What a kind gesture, and I’m sure it made Stefanie’s heart as happy to give the gifts as it did her friend’s heart. KCB’s Pocketful of Sunshine was the perfect kit to use!

This is just a small sampling of the many beautiful kindness themed layouts in the SSD gallery! Our community is filled with beautiful people that enjoy spreading kindness!!
Thanks for popping in today – I hope you’ve been inspired! Until next time … happy scrapping!!
Jill
