February Sweet Shoutouts

Holy moly! February is nearly wrapped up already! I hope you’ve had a blast over the past few weeks during our 18th birthday celebration! I’ve certainly enjoyed watching our community galleries grow! There sure is a lot of eye candy out there!!  Speaking of eye candy, today I’m sharing a few layouts that totally caught my eye – the gallery really is oozing with creativity! So without further ado, here are my February Shoutouts:

I love electra’s take on the birthday challenge from February 12th (18 something).  So very creative to list 18 things that are irritating to her! The emoji element from Erica Zane’s Don’t Pet my Peeves kit sets the tone for her list and the messy-cursive font she’s selected is on target with the theme of her page.  (I’m sure that most of us can relate with a few items on her list!)

Cinderella rocked the 18 something challenge as well. Her page really is over the top creative, documenting 18 things she’d tell her 18 year old self! There is a perfect blend of colors and textures and just so many details to admire, and, it flows flawlessly together!  She definitely worked her magic with Simple Pleasures All Woman bundle

knclark’s page really got my attention from the gallery.  The magnificent photo and title work drew me right in!  The two smaller photos give a different perspective of the beautiful scenery, and the placement of the starburst element around the sun is creative. She’s worked magic with Grace Lee and River Rose’s Your Soul is Golden and even though the kit’s theme is geared more toward “shining bright and sparkling with a heart of gold”, it sure is perfect with those stunning photos!

Here’s another page featuring stunning scenery! I love how catgoddess has created a vignette with nature elements from A Camping Tale by Kristin Cronin-Barrow in the foreground of her layout.  The impeccable placement of the elements and shadows create a beautiful 3D effect, I feel like I’d like to reach out and touch the flowers, mushrooms, and buds.

Look at that sweet, sweet face!  Josie selected Be a Light to the World Bundle by WendyP designs to scrap her adorable photo! I love how the cloud elements mimic the blanket in the photo. The blended photograph just melts right into the beautiful background, and the touches of gold add the perfect finishing touch to her page!

Meagan’s Creations Number Collage Templates and Winter Bday Bash are a terrific way to document a 13th birthday! Through stasianary’s journaling, we know that she enjoyed finding photos to document the past thirteen years. I imagine she took several trips down memory lane while searching through photos.  The use of a solid neutral background color melds well with her page, allowing the photos to tell the story.

And last but not least,

tanyiadeskin’s play on words is terrific! Meagan’s Creations Eating Out: Coffee kit is a fantastic way to show off her mug collection! Her page reminds me that digital scrapbooking doesn’t always have to be about people or places, but that creating a page about “things” in our lives is fair game.  The sweet little clusters she’s created add interest to her delightful page.

That’s it for this month … I hope you’ve been inspired and hope you’ll stop by again next month when I’ll be showcasing more fabulous layouts created by our community members!!
