I hate taking selfies, so I cheated and took some photos with my kids, hubby and dog.  I don’t even think I could find 4 selfies if I looked!   My husband Brad and I have been married for 14 years, my daughter Ashley is almost 12, my son Curtis just turned 9, and my Jack Russell dog Lexi is 3 years old.

With Halloween coming up, I thought I would share some of my favorite sweet treats with you.  I have quite the sweet tooth, so it makes it hard to resist all that Halloween candy that comes into the house, I love both candy and chocolate, but I narrowed it down here to just chocolate treats.  The first is Mars Bar, I love caramel mixed with chocolate, and this has been one of my favorites since I was little kid.  The second is made by a chocolate company here in Canada called Purdy’s Chocolates.  It’s called an Orange Meltie (I love Terry’s Orange chocolate too, but these are even better).  The third is Coffee Crisp, I love the subtle coffee taste, and the crispiness…..I guess that’s my it is the perfect name!  My daughter just started liking these, but when they used to come home from trick or treating, all the Coffee Crisps got passed along to me because no one in the house would eat them!  The fourth and final one is Reese’s Pieces……no one in my family likes peanut butter so I rarely have these, but when I get the chance I take it up!

I am a totally TV junkie, I could have chosen way more, but these are a few of my favorite shows.  Modern Family is one of my favorite comedies to watch, it makes me laugh out loud everytime I see it.  We used to watch American Idol, but got tired of it and switched to The Voice.  I love the new season with Gwen and Pharrell as judges.   We have binge watched all 3 seasons of Homeland, but it is a complete bummer that we just finished Season 3 and have to wait a whole year to watch Season 4 (we don’t subscribe to the channel).  And finally, I love Dancing with the Stars, I have watched since Season 1 and always enjoy it!

Christmas Photoshoot – This is quite an old layout, but everytime I look at it, it makes me laugh.  I was trying to get some photos for a Christmas card, but the kids refused to put whipped cream on their faces.  As they were pretending to take a sip of hot chocolate (which were mugs filled to the top with whipped cream) I nudged it into their faces.  They were both in complete shock, but my daughter started laughing.  My son had the complete opposite reaction and got really angry, his facial expressions were priceless.  He gave me a little kick and stormed off, full of drama.  It was hilarious…… but it took him a while to forgive me though!

2nd Visit with Lexi – Getting a dog was such a special time for my kids.  This was our second visit with her, and the last visit we would have before bringing here home.  The kids could not believe how tiny she was and they absolutely loved how she just cuddled up in their laps.  It definitely made it hard to leave without her that day, they did not want to wait to bring her home!

Photo Fun – Anyone who looks at my gallery can see I love layouts with a lot of color and lots of photos, this layout has both.  I absolutely love the bright colors and the memories of my daughter having fun with her cousins on summer vacation a few years ago.

Getting Goofy – This is another older layout, but it also makes me smile.  For some reason things haven’t changed when I try to do a photo shoot of the kids with their dad.  In fact, I think I have a series of the exact same type of photos of the three of them from a few months ago.  I wonder why people complain that photo shoots always take so long?!?!
