Featured Designer Faves 6/24 – Brook Magee
Hello Sweet Shoppers! It’s Friday and the new releases are almost live…are you excited?? As you guys know, our current featured designer, Brook Magee, has such a pretty kit in the shoppe that’s FREE when you spend $10 between now and next Thursday, June 30th.
Brook scooped with Misty Cato for Grow Your Dreams. They’ve scooped before but Misty’s not the only one Brook has worked with. I asked her to share some of her favorite scoops of all time with you guys and here are the amazing kits she picked along with a little inspiration from our Babes too!

I asked Brook what she loves most about scooping with the other designers and if she has any plans in the works for scoops in the future, and here’s what she had to say…
As primarily a template designer, I am a little slower at creating kits. Working with other designers and scooping take 1/2 the time and effort to create a beautiful kit, which fits into my busy schedule. I also love how creating beside another artist stretches my creativity and challenges me to try colors, themes, and make elements I’ve never done before. I also think some of the best kits in the Shoppe are scoops because every designer has different strengths they bring to the table, so overall, scoops are more diverse, interesting, and balanced kits.
I have plans to work with Amanda Yi again and Kristin Cronin Barrow (we have loose plans to make a southwest kit… maybe that will change when we start pulling colors). Mostly, I make templates which is a solo venture… however lately I’ve been teaming up with kit designers to make themed templates to coordinate with their kits. That’s fun!
I have never scooped with Melissa Bennett! We had plans to scoop once and it fell through. Same goes for Amber Shaw. I’d love to collab with those ladies someday.
