Featured Designer 15 Peek – Shawna Clingerman

Hello! We’re back to talk with our current Featured Designer, Shawna Clingerman! We’re going to show her FWP kit Hustle & Heart, AND talk about a new sale that we’re going to do this upcoming Tuesday! Hustle & Heart is all about getting things done and hitting the ground running! I love the colors in this kit–they feel really tropical to me, and who doesn’t love the feel of an island vacation?! I’m also really excited to try out the Easy Print files on my Silhouette. I’m thinking of making some stickers to use in my bullet journal. I love that this bundle includes both the kit and the Easy Print files!! I had to ask if Shawna scrapbooks; here’s what she said:

I used to scrapbook SO much, when my boys were small and adorable little camera hogs! But now all of my kids are over ten (three of them are over 13, and they just don’t want photos like they used to. So my scrapbooking is much more rare, and ends up being when I sit down and have a scrapathon on iNSD with the handful family photos I’ve grabbed from the year. Honestly, I think most of my memory documenting ends up being via social media. That is ok though, life evolves and we find different ways to persue our crafty hobbies!! Art journaling/bible journaling/little memory books there is always a way to work some sort of scrapbooking in even if it isn’t the traditional adorable pages of the kids anymore.

Another question I had to ask was if there were any layouts that jumped out at her from her Designer Inspiration gallery lately? And if so, to share a page or two and the scrapper with us!

Jen used a handlettered word to do a bible journaling project! I think that is just the coolest!

Finally, for a little fun, what are the top 5 things you do to relax?

Art Art Art. Oh man give me some watercolors, some brush pens, and just let me play . . . my favorite ever.

Yoga has become a thing for me lately–I use the Yoga with Adrienne channel on YouTube and I just loooove it! I try try try to work it in every morning on week days.

Hubby date days. Now that the kids are so much older, G and I can sneak out without doing the whole babysitter riggamarole. I LOVE IT! We do antiquing in our local downtown area and a little local brewery, or we go to a comicon (he’s totally a geek and I love him for it). Sometimes we just run errands and grab a bite to eat, but those times together and out of the house are so so good for the soul!

Marco Polo. For reals. It is a video walkie talkie app that I think was made for pre-teens, but my sister and I send each other messages like every single day and it is a great way to talk through stuff, sort my thoughts, and keep connected to my life long bff (she only lives 20 mins away, but still, we spent our entire lives living in the same room, so we need the contact! LOL!). I’m so glad we braved downloading it and sending those first few video messages becuase they have become the highlights of my day. I also keep in touch with my mom that is on a mission in Hawaii, my other sister, and a close-knit group of friends. It’s the best.

Wine. Wine always has to make the list too right??! Or even better, meeting up with some friends at a brewery to talk and drink a crisp, one-of-a-kind IPA–time with friends over a nice drink. It doesn’t get better than that!!

Now that we’ve gotten to know Shawna a little better, I get to show off her products that will be on sale next Tuesday! I’ll show them all to you today and then you’ll have a few days to get them into your cart and have it all ready for Tuesday. Are you excited?! It’s a lot to take in so scroll slowly. ?

And we can’t just look at her products without seeing some pretty inspiration from the gallery, right?! I wandered through the gallery and found some great inspiration from our members using these kits.
