Scrapping baby’s first year

Hi everyone this is Jacq bringing today’s blog post! My little girl is celebrating her first birthday next month and it’s bittersweet for me. I love that she is growing up wonderfully and that she’s a happy baby girl but at the same time I feel like she’s growing up way too fast, I want her to stay my baby for a little longer. This makes me sentimental and I can’t help but look at all the photos we took of her, there’s a ton of photos but not a lot of scrapbook pages but I’m pretty happy with what I’ve got so far for her first year scrapbook album.

I started scrapping about her as soon as we found out that we will be welcoming a new member in our family…

We were so excited to be having another baby and we all anticipated her arrival. I have weekly belly shots to show just how much she’s growing and I scrapped those too.

And when she finally made her grand entrance after five hours of labor and five days shy of my due date we were ecstatic. We had hospital photos of her and she was so precious.

Aside from the random everyday photos of her I also made it a point to take pictures on her each month with this white onesie and monthly sticker I found on Etsy. I use those photos to scrap her development/milestones and just anything about that month that I want to remember.

Of course I scrap about those big milestones too. It’s fun seeing her all happy and active and just having fun.

Oh I love this baby girl. I’m so glad I am a scrapbooker, I’m glad to be keeping these pages as a reminder of how her first year was when she’s all grown up. While I’m happy with how her album is looking right now I still have a few pages to do for it like her birth story for instance. I’m also eagerly anticipating other big milestones with a camera nearby all the time.
