Featured Designer FWP – Wendy van der Ploeg
Happy Friday friends! It’s a new day, and we’re debuting a new Featured Designer! As you know, over the past year and a bit, we’ve had all of our designers in the spotlight as our featured designers, so we’ve started fresh with a new series of featured designer FWP products that will center around the letters of the alphabet! Wendy van der Ploeg is up next with the letter “O”, and she has an amazing kit for us, O Is for Offline. This kit is so light and breezy! It really does make you want to leave all your electronics behind and spend some time relaxing outside. Take a look . . .
I asked Wendy a few questions about this kit and the process she went through to create it. Here’s what she had to say:
Tell us a little bit about the direction you took for your letter of the alphabet.
I was searching for something fun with the letter O, and when I found several fun themes, I decided to go for Offline. We all can use some time offline to just go outside or to the ocean. And since those two are with an O as well, I thought it would be fun to create those as well.
Did you find it difficult coming up with a concept for your letter?
It really was fun to create this collection, and I specifically choose these colors so some colors can go with Outdoors and some colors can go with Oceans as well.
I also asked Wendy a few more questions about herself, her love for this hobby of ours, and some of her favorite layouts or products:
What kit are you most proud of creating in the last year? Why?
One of the collections I’m most proud of this year is “Day at the Museum.” I had my own Louvre museum photos and it took me some time to create the perfect kit for that and make it also work for any other kind of museums. But, I really love how it turned out and how versatile it is. I used it for at least 6 museum pages of my own.
Create and share a playlist for us of music that gets you in the mood for being creative!
I don’t have a specific playlist to listen to. Most of the time, I listen to my favorite radio sender and let it surprise with the different types of music they deliver. I love a lot of new music, but mostly I love Imagine Dragons and Pink.
