Hot 4 Hybrid Wednesday

Hello!  Sara here with this weeks hybrid post.

I have a sweet project to share with you today, which requires very little equipment and can be made to suit any particular person, decor or even what mood you are in if you like!  A home-made mobile:

My mobile was made using Honey Bunny by Dani Mogstad, and it measures about 11in  in length, though I could have simply added more flowers to make it longer if I wanted to.   Take a closer look:

It is made from a double thickness of card: I duplicated each image on to two separate pieces of thin card, cut them all out and sandwiched them together with some adhesive. I think this double thickness of card adds a little durability and weight to the mobile, and I will also be able to see the images on both sides of the mobile when it moves in a breeze.

When the glue was dry, I arranged my mobile pieces on my work table in the design I planned for them to hang in.  Then I used my hole prick (which is little more than a very strong, sharp needle) to make small holes in the top of each, through which I would thread my floss/ thread.
