Sweet Shoppe Designs – The Sweetest Digital Scrapbooking Site on the Web

Hello! Sara here, with this weeks H4H post.  This Sunday seems to be Father’s Day in lots of countries around the world, so I thought I’d share a few quick ‘card and scissor’ ideas with you, should you be looking for that final little something!

Chore vouchers from the children are always a fun and simple gift for them to present to their Dad – and let’s face it, getting the kids to help out at any time is a wonderful thing!  Libby Weifenbach and Heather Roselli released the fun double-dip All In A Days Work a couple of months ago, and it is complemented by Heather’s DIY Printable Templates: Chore Chance.  I thought that, with just a tweak or two, the ready-to-print version of the Chore Chance scheme would be a simple fun gift for any Dad on Father’s Day:

I used the majority of the same vouchers that Heather included in the ready-to-print version, and then added a few specifically tailored to my son – such as help to wash the car and help to make dinner.  I also made my own version of the box lid so I could add text suitable for the occasion and gift, complete with a disclaimer (‘I promise not to grumble too much when this voucher is redeemed’)!  My son is actually keen to present this to his dad, though whether he realises he may actually have to do the work is another thing….!

I used another of Heather’s templates in my next gift presentation idea: photocube gift box.

This box is large enough for sufficient jellybeans to keep any Dad quiet for a while – and will make him feel wonderfully sentimental with a cute photo of the children on each side!

I used the largest box from Heather’s DIY Printable Templates: Box Tower, and then had lots of fun decorating it with papers and elements from In Cahoots by Melissa Bennett & Eva Kipler.  I wanted to present my mini photos like Polaroids, and so used the cute doodly frames from Lauren Reid’s Luckiest Day to achieve this.  The final presentation touch was a simple bow of organza ribbon, which also helpfully holds the tag with my sentiment on, in place.
