Sweet Shoppe Designs – The Sweetest Digital Scrapbooking Site on the Web

Hey hey guys! It’s been awhile since I’ve hit the blog but I am really excited to be here and give you the details on some awesome changes to the Sweet Shoppe Challenges. There is lots to tell you about, so let’s get started.

First up! The Sweet Rewards system just got SWEETER! After watching your scrappin and buying trends with the Sweet Rewards coupons, we’ve decided to make some changes. For starters, we’re eliminating the 10 and 15% reward brackets and going to an even sweeter system!

Out with the old…

5 points = 10%
10 points = 15%
15 points = 20%
20+ points = 30%

And in with the new…

10-15 points = 20%
16-24 points = 30%
25+ points = 40%

Now we think this new point system is going to be even better for you because there is so much more at stake!! With the old system, when you got to 10 points, you got a 15% discount, with the new plan, when you hit 10 points, you’ll be getting a 20% discount. In the old system you had to get to 20 points before you’d see a 30% discount and now, 16 points is the magic number for that 30% discount.

Finally… for those of you who are challenge crazy… if you can hit 25 points or more each month, there is a whopping 40% discount on the table. Now, most of you who know SSD, know that we rarely do discounts that deep on our merchandise but we really want to reward our most dedicated customers with whopping savings each month, so we think this is gonna be SWEET!

So with the rewards on the table…let’s get to how you can start earning those points!!

To be honest, it’s pretty simple and straighforward… All ya have to do is keep an eye on the monthly challenge threads SugarBabe Karen posts in our Challenge Tracker Forum and she’ll keep you up to date on all of the available opportunities to earn points for the month. Then you just have to jump in and participate by scrapping layouts like you should be doin’ anyhow and you’ll see the points start piling up…it’s that easy!

We also have a brand new way to earn points… We’re really excited because each and every tuesday here on the blog, we’ll be showing off at least 4 layouts that stood out in the gallery from those scrappers participating in the challenges in our new Sweet Standouts feature! If your layout is shown off here on the blog… you’ll get an extra point!

On Thursdays, we’ll be doin a full run down of the challenges, so you can see at a glance what our fabulous team has cooked up to inspire you for the week in our new On the Menu spotlight. So while I’m here I suppose I should finish this post off with a peek at the challenges that hit the challenge forum yesterday, Wednesday, June 6th…

In this week’s SugarFree Challenge, SugarBabe Mandy is challenging you to scrap a layout showing off the side of you that not many people see. It’s time to get real about who you are and tell the world something they dont know about you!

In the Sweet Inspiration Challenge, SugarBabe Amy is kicking of a month of inspiration to be found outdoors with her layout prompting you to find inspiration in your garden. Her sample layout is gorgeous, so be sure to take a peek!

SugarBabe Karen is asking you to scrap about the quirky foods you love in this week’s Scrap with the SugarBabes challenge. She’s pointed out that it doesn’t have to be “weird”, so I think this is one we can all play along with!

In this week’s Recipe Challenge, SugarBabe Emily is challenging you to scrap a layout with a whopping 6 photos AND to add some Father’s Day love to your page. It’s a recipe for sweet success if you ask me!

And finally… I’m SUPER excited because we’ve added a brand new bi-weekly challenge to our line up and it’s hosted by none other than me!! In our very first Pop Rocks challenge, I’m hitting you up to scrap those must have toys of 2007 and I can’t wait to see what your kids are loving this year!

Remember, you can earn those sweet rewards points ALL month long, just remember to post a link to your layout in the original challenge thread so that our incredible Sweet Rewards Coordinator SugarBabe Karen can easily keep track of all of those points!
