365 Days of Bliss: A New Look
Hey all!! Laurie here with today’s blissful installment. 🙂 I love taking pictures. Love love love. I know for sure I’m not the only one!! Now that summer is here I love that I have more of a variety of pictures since the weather is nice and we have a nice change of scenery. Last month you may remember that one of the portfolio challenges was to add a texture to a photo to change the look of it. I was looking through a lot of the photos I have taken this year and so many of the photos look the SAME!!! My house faces south, so we never get really good sunlight in our living room – I use our entryway as my go-to spot for taking pictures of the girls because the lighting is pretty great in that little space. The only thing I don’t like is that beige background in every photo!! Case in point.
Using this tutorial, I decided to play around and try to change up a photo of my oldest daughter. I used a paper from Melissa Bennett’s Sweet 16 kit. I know you’re still able to see the texture of the walls, but I really love how a paper from a gorgeous kit can really change up one little photo!!
It’s definitely worth a try, especially if you’re looking to change things up a bit. It’s a fun way to go through your digi stash and find some really fun papers to use in a unique new way!!
