Spotlight Sunday- Mari (Community Member Edition)
This week we’re spotlighting Mari (lovely1m)!
Selfies-
Hi! I am Mari (it’s said mahr ee) aka lovely1m. I enjoy taking selfies as it makes me feel pretty and empowered. I also pride myself on sharing them completely straight from my camera with no filters or edits. While I could make myself look better by doing it, I like saying this is me, this is what I look like, flaws and all. Plus I take some with that cute 8 year old boy there named Nicholas, my amazing son.
Layouts-
I have an eclectic sense of style when it comes to my scrapping depending upon what I am scrapping. I love art journaling, it helps me get out any deep emotions I am feeling. When I scrap our vacation pages, I like a clean, linear style that shows off the photos. Then when scrapping my son, I can go any where from full page coverage to lots of white space. I prefer to just scrap how I am feeling rather than any specific style.
Products-
These are just a few of my favorite products at Sweet Shoppe. First, those fabulous templates from Misty. They make my vacation albums so wonderful and I love that she created them after a good old fashioned begging session from me that she make an album based on her awesome scrapping style. Second, Traci makes the best stitches. I own every single one she has made (before I was on her team even!) and have used them so many times. I love so many kits in the store, but this one from KCB holds a special place in my heart. I requested she make a shabby country style kit, not so much like cowboys, but more like country décor and this gorgeous kit is what she came up with. I have used it numerous times because even though I am a city girl, I always end up with tons of country photos. Then there is Shawna and her amazing alphas, this set is so versatile, how could you not used them?
Travel-
Traveling is one of my very favorite things to do. I have done a decent amount, but my travel bucket list is huge. These places are the places I most want to see in my life. Prague, Czech Republic and castles in Germany. I would love this to be one trip together in my life. I have a love of architecture and these two places just stand out to me as gorgeous. I love the beach. It’s so relaxing and beautiful and I have always thought Bali looked gorgeous. I am a city girl, yet I have never been to New York City. I would love to see it soon.
Disney Cruise-
In January, my son, mother and I went on a dream vacation on an Eastern Caribbean Disney Cruise. It was so amazing and we had a wonderful time. I saw some of the most beautiful places I have been to in my life. St Martin was amazing especially Orient Beach (one of the top 10 best beaches in the world). In St Thomas, these place were we took our selfie was on of the most beautiful views I have ever laid my eyes on. Castaway Cay, the Disney owned island, was gorgeous. And, of course, the ship itself was awesome.
